ShockedI am using the free version and when I convert a Word document formatted for 2 columns, I lose the proper formatting.  The document is a mailing list and lines appear on the next page instead of the proper page.  Any suggestions?

Hi SmokeyDog,

I would check that the paper size inside MS Word (File >> Page Setup) matches the paper size of the PDF reDirect Printer (File >> Print >> Printer Properties >> Printing Preferences >> Advanced >> Paper Size). If the paper sizes are not the same, then the problem you described can indeed occur.

I hope that helps, but let me know if it does not, and we'll take it from there.

    Regards,

Second, I would check the margins and the print preview to see of

Thanks Michel, but I checked those prior to inquiring.   Print Preview is perfect.  This is driving me crazy.  Thanks for helping.

Hi,

Yes, that would drive me nuts too! All I can suggest (if you can) is that you send me the Word file, and I'll give it a go and see if I can duplicate and fix the problem for you.

    My e-mail address is exp(at)exp-systems.com.

    Cheers!

I really appreciate all of your time devoted to this!   I noticed that when you opened my document, the format had also changed.  From further experimentation, I found that a Word doc formatted in columns will NOT hold its proper format if the last lines in the column are blank or just show the paragraph marker.  By FILLING THE LINE with verbiage,  letters or  symbols, the format is maintained.   Again, thanks for all of your help. Sure! I'm glad to hear that you found an explanation and a workaround.

Cheers!
