Hello guys,

I have a problem using the PDF redirect v2 translate to portuguese.
I am creating a magazine on Adobe pagemaker 7.0, using images on
eps format etc.

The problem is: I am creating the archives on book and
the first time I tried to use PDF Redirect everythings gave right.
But, because problems in the document i have to take it to the book
format to individual files.
WHen I transform the files on book format again and
try to generate a pdf archive the message ERROR -100 appeared.

I hope that you can help me.

Thank's.

Hi,

Sorry to hear about the "-100" error. This means that the conversion from the printer file (postscript) to a PDF failed because there was a command that could not interpreted. This error is thankfully rare, but can occur occasionally.

So, things to try to fix the problem:
  • Try again. Sometimes, it's just a random error.
  • Reboot and try again as sometimes it's the Windows spool service that is causing the problem.
  • Make sure that you are using at least v2.2.5 of PDF reDirect.
The other thing too is to make sure you properly specify the Postscript Printer Description File which is one of the more advanced printing options of Pagemaker. PageMaker uses the Postscript Printer Description file (.PPD) from its own directory rather than use the one associated with the printer in the Windows Directory. This file describes the capabilities of a postscript printer. To fix the problem, download the following PPD [PDF_RDR.PPD] and place it in the PPD folder of the PageMaker Directory. The exact location of this Directory for Pagemaker 7.0 can vary from computer to computer. For a standard installation, the folder is:

"C:\Program Files\Adobe\PageMaker 7.0\RSRC\USENGLSH\ppd4"

When printing from PageMaker, make sure that "PDF reDirect" is the selected printer, and that the "PDF reDirect Virtual Printer" is also selected as the PPD file.

   Hopefully this will fix
the problem for you.

    Best regards,

Michel Korwin-Szymanowski

Thank you very much for the help mr. Michel.

Oops! Here is the correct link: [PDF_RDR.PPD]. Sorry about that.
