I'm interested in both keeping a backup of my current setting and the ability to rebuild PDFRedirect when I (frequently) rebuild my PC.  What fies do I copy/is there a setting export option?

THanks...Cyrt

Hi!

Yes, keep a backup of the following file:
C:\Documents and Settings\[USERNAME]\Application Data\PDF reDirect\Prefs_v2.ini

   Cheers!

I assume that the folder BATCH_PRINTERS needs to be kept also.

For future features, an import/export configuration might be a useful feature to include.

Thanks....Curt

Hi,

Good point. There is a caveat though. If you copy the Batch Printers folder on the PC first, then the PDF reDirect Pro installer will automatically re-create all of the batch printers for you.

If you install first, you will need to create the batch printers manually, and then overwrite the batch printer settings files with the old ones that you backed up.

last point: don't lose your license key as you will still need to re-register the software on the new PC after the re-install. If it's lost: no biggie: just let me know, and I will send you a new copy.

   Cheers!
