I installed version 2.2.5 over version 2.1.7 today.
It cancelled part way thru, spooler in use or similar error.
Reset computer, reinstalled.

My test print did not prompt me for a filename, instead the output went to a physical printer on my LAN.

Uninstalled, reinstalled, got same problem.
Uninstalled, deleted all references to PDF Redirect from the registry, reinstalled, same problem.

Version 2.1.7 was working last time I used it a day or two back.
Note: The last PDF Writer I installed recently was PDF Creator 0.9.3. This was working fine and PDF Redirect 2.1.7 continued to work fine after that.

Hi,

I am sorry to hear of the problem.

It is weird that the printout would go to the physical printer if you selected the PDF reDirect printer.

I would try an uninstall, then a reboot, and then a re-install. Hoipefully the reboot will set the Windows print spooler service to allow a proper installation.

If the problem continues, look at the printer properties for the PDF reDirect printer, and check the "Port" setting: it should be set to the "PDF reDirect Port:". IS it maybe set to something else? If so, select the PDF reDirect port.

Let me know how you make out, and we'll take it from there.

    Best regards,

All good now, thanks! Big%20smile

Sometimes you think you don't need another reboot - but you do!

Also, this time I closed down about 6 programs from my systray before I reinstalled. (Sometimes the message "please close all programs before installing" DOES actually mean it!).
