I am trying to create a mulit-page document. When I try to create a second page, using the Append option. I get an error message ( that does not stay on screen long enough to read/ capture) that says something like cannot save to "c:\Temp\asdf\New Market Report.pdf" . I have no idea where this file name is coming from!

Hi,
You can record an error log to find out what is happening by going into PDF reDirect Pro >> Preferences >> General >> Generate Log Files (check).
Then, re-run your Batch conversion, and return to the Preferences and click on the "View Log File" button. Hopefully that will give you an idea of what is going on.
Otherwise, look for the standard stuff:
- double-check your batch printer settings,
- make sure you are not appending to an encrypted PDF with a different password,
- make sure you have read/write access to the file,
- make sure that the file is not opened in a PDF Reader,
- etc.
