Hello,

Im responisble for installing the PDF reDirect v2.1 (freeware) to multiple computers via a script. The installer on your website is created with NSIS which makes it possible to override the installation directory (with the /D=<directory> parameter on a command line).

However after installing the application (which works) the PDF-creation does not work when using PRINT. The application never fires (i.e. the dialogbox where to save the document).

How can I install the application to another directory ?

Kindest regards,

Rikard Strand

I have some good news for you. I have been working on making the installation folder fully customizable. I should have an update for you in 1 to 2 days.

Regards,

Michel

Hello,

That is good news. Can you post to the forum when the installer is repacked ?

Hi,

Absolutely! In fact, I finished it today, and it seems to be working well (on my Windows XP machine). I tried local drive installations, network drives (mapped), and network drives that were not mapped (ie \\server_machine\folder\...) and that worked too. I still need to test Windows 2000, XP64, and 98 before I "officially" release it, but, if you want, you can give it a try, and let me know if it is working OK for you (ie consider this a "beta" to be tried at your own risk). It is being released as v2.1.11.

I will try the application later today and post a reply of my findings. Will it be possible to use the "/D=<path>" using silent install ?

Kindest regards,

Hi,

Yes, it should work (although I have not tested it). Wow, your reply was fast. I guess that makes sense: if you are in Norway, so it's morning for you (...and I'm going to bed now).

   Best regards,

Michel

Hello,

I have tested it and it works fine (deployed to c:\win32\pdf-redirect).

Kindest regards,
