Hi,

Thank you for your interest in PDF reDirect. I am sorry to hear of the problem you are experiencing. We had a few people (4) report this error with the older v2.0 version, but since, we have had confirmation from 3 people (and 1 no reply) that the error went away with the new v2.1.

Your report of having this problem is the second one I have received with v2.1. Unfortunately, the error occurs as the program is being loaded, and before any of the code runs. Therefore, it has not been possible for us to determine the cause, particularly since we have been unable to duplicate the problem on our test machines.

What this means is that we will be unable to help you resolve the problem. The only other person who was having the problem with v2.1 also mentioned that he thought that his computer was "in bad shape" and he chose to reformat his hard drive and re-install Windows from scratch. He happily reported that everything worked fine afterwards.

If you are experiencing the problem right after installation, I would try first rebooting the computer: we have had good luck with other problems fixing themselves simply be rebooting. If that does not work, you can try re-installing. If that still does not work, then I would recommend that you remove PDF reDirect (that option will be available via the Start Menu >> Programs >> PDF reDirect >> Uninstall) and that you try an alternate PDF creator such as Cute PDF.

I realize that this is probably not the answer you were looking for. If a solution becomes available, I will be sure to post the solution in this forum.

   Regards,

Michel
