When i try to create a custom paper size it returns an error box stating:

"Sorry; an Error occurred in UpdatePaperSize
1. OK
2. Ok"

I click on th OK button and i get a dialog box stating "Error =0"

then i get the 1st dialog bac but now "1. 00020 - Resume without error"

then the "Error=)" comes back.

I tried activating the pro trial and got the same thing.

I'm running windows XP pro. Is there a fix?

Hi,

My guess is that you have a limited or guest account which is preventing from accessing paper sizes from the Windows system. Try running PDF reDirect manually, but as an administrator (ie right-click on the icon, and choose "Run As Administrator") and see if that fixes the problem.

If that does not fix the problem, let me know, and I'll give you the instructions on how to record an error log so that we can figure out what is going on.

   Cheers!

Hello again. Back in January when this first happen you sent me information for adding the custom paper size to the windows print server in XP.That worked!
The problem now is that i got a new laptop running Win7 enterprise and cannot find the instruction you sent me last time. Could you please send how to do it in win7. Also when i am in properties section of preferences, under the "Edit Printer Properties" header neither button, basic or advanced, does anything. Is this probably also related to the restrictions for my account? I am in the administrator group and have most administrator rights but i know that ther are some things that the company has restricted.

Thank you in advance

Bruce

Hi,

No worries. Try running PDF reDirect manually, but as an administrator (ie right-click on the icon, and choose "Run As Administrator")

From the Preferences >> Properties >> Custom Paper Size >> from there, you can add new paper sizes. This will be faster than the old instructions (ie now you can do it from within PDF reDirect).

Please make sure you run v2.5.2 to have the new built-in ability to add paper sizes.

   Cheers!
