Hello, I have just downloaded the free version for evaluation. I added a password to a scanned pdf document. I am now trying to determine how to change or remove the password from the same document. When I try to merge the document I get an error that the PDF file was not created properly. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. |

Hi, One encrypted, the file can no longer be modified or merged. You can remove the password/encryption, but this requires the "Pro" version. Simply activate the "Pro" version of the program for a few minutes, remove the password, and return to the freeware version. You can switch via the Preferences >> Startup Mode. Even if the trial period is over, it will still remove the password. Be sure to check the help file to figure out which button to use (it's in the Files section).
