Hi,

Occasionally, when creating a PDF from Word 2007, parts of the PDF output will be blanked out as though part of the page is covered by a white box.

After some troubleshooting with a couple of users, we have confirmed that the problem does not occur with older versions of Word (2000, 2003) and is limited to Word 2007 (no matter which version of Windows).

   The fix is to:
  • open the printer control panel,
  • right-click on the PDF reDirect printer and choose "properties" on Windows XP, or "Printing Preferences" in Vista/Win7
  • Click the "Advanced" button
  • Change "Print Quality" from 600 to 300 dpi
Once you make this change, the problem has disappeared for all the files we tested.

I hope that helps anyone else who has experienced this problem.
