I have been using PDF reDirect for a few years and just recently starting getting this message when trying to save something to a PDF

 Sorry - an error occurred frmMain-load 1: 00075 path/file access error 2: ok

this message pops up twice and then goes away and I can save to a PDF file.

Hi,

 Obviously this is not normal.

Please turn on the logging feature in the Preferences >> General. Then close the program, and restart it to record the issue.

Do not submit the report through the built-in tool as that tool is no longer working, but you can e-mail it to me: I think you have my e-mail address.

By looking at the log, we can determine which folder is giving an access error.

 Best,

 Michel

I do not have your email address, but I sent the log file to the EXP Systems Forum email I received from you.

Hi Randall,

I checked the log file you sent, and did not see anything unusual (very weird). Do the errors show up when PDF reDirect is starting, or is it after you click the "Save" button?

 Thanks!

 Michel

Michel - it is when it is starting up.  Once I click the error message twice the program loads up and I can save something to a PDF like always.

OK, Thank you.

I rechecked the log you sent me, to look for something unusual at startup, and there is nothing there.

I checked my own logs on a Windows 7 PC and a Windows 10 one, and I was unable to find any differences with you log.

The only thing I can offer as a next step as to do a complete removal of the program, and re-install, to see if that makes a difference. Alternatively, you can try the latest Beta version (which is actually quite reliable). You can find the beta version v2.5.4 here:

Was there an error during the installation?

ok - I got v2.5.4 to install, but I still get the same error message as I got with v2.5.2.  I will email you the log to see if there are any clues

Thank you for the logs. I went through them, and could not find any logging of this particular error.

I will review my code. I might send you an updated version of the executable with additional error logging so that we can zero in on this particular problem.

 Thank you for your patience.

Is there an update on this yet?  I have been getting the same error message for close to a year now.

Is there an update on this yet?  I have been getting the same error message for OVER a year now and it is getting frustrating that I may switch to a different PDF creator.

Hi,

Sorry, no update or solution: I was unable to find the source of the problem, and I am unable to fix if I cannot duplicate the issue. I have not had any other reports of this error. I had the opportunity recently to deploy PDF reDirect for a customer with over 1,000 users, and they have not experienced this issue either.

I will continue to look for this error, and will let you know if I am ever able to duplicate it.

If you do decide to switch, I am a big fan of the products from FoxIt Software (and I have been working with them over the years).

 Best,

 Michel
