After sending a document to my vendor, he replied back that the fonts were not embedded.
I have the latest version of the freeware and in the properties section I made sure I checked the boxes Embed Standard Fonts and Embed Entire Fonts yet the vendor states the fonts are not embedded.

Hi,

Sorry to hear of the problem.

PDF reDirect always embed fonts (except for the standard ones unless you make the selection to do so).

Can your vendor see the text on his screen? If yes, then the fonts are embedded. Another way to check (you can do this yourself) is to open the PDF in PDF Reader, and go into File >> Properties >> Fonts Tab. In the list that appears, the embedded fonts will be listed. If the list is blank, then yes, that would mean that your vendor is right. Can you check to see if that is the case?

   I hope this helps,

I checked in my Font setting with Adobe Reader, it does have a list of fonts.

Example:
Ariel (Embedded Subset)
True Type

Not sure what the subset is.
Vendor still has a problem though.

Hi,

The list of fonts tells you that the fonts are indeed embedded.

A subset is when the embedded fonts are only for the letters contained in the PDF. For example, if you have some text in the PDF, and the character "$" is never used, why include that character? Therefore:

 - an imbedded entire font has all the characters,
 - a subsetted embedded font is missing the unused characters to make the PDF file smaller.

Anyway, what program is your vendor using? Is is Adobe's free PDF Reader, or some other program? Can he tell you which font he thinks is missing? Does the PDF display correctly on his computer?

Sorry that I am not being more help: I have not add anyone report this  problem before.

   Cheers!
